Sankhuwasabha, May 30:

CPN-UML cadre Suman Karki of Madi Mulkharka-9 in Sankhu-wasabha district, who fled to Khandbari on Tuesday after he was beaten up by YCL cadres for not giving them donation, returned home today.

District leadership of the CPN (Maoist) made a commitment to take action against the guilty YCL cadres. The district leadership of the Maoists also pledged to prevent such acts, rights activists said.

“The Maoists have pledged to create a safe atmosphere so that Karki can live in the village without fear,” coordinator of the Human Rights and Development Promotion and Coordination Committee Khadga Rai said.
