CHITWAN: Police have arrested three persons when they were slaughtering a cow at Janapriyatol of Kalika Municipality-3 in eastern Chitwan this morning.

However, two others involved in the crime managed to escape.

According to Area Police Office (APO), Tandi, the arrested are Nirmaya Tamang, 35, Anjana Tamang, 27, and Amir Tamang, 18, of Kalika Municipality.

Police have been carrying out a search for the absconding persons and further investigation into the case is underway, said Chief at the APO, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhabesh Rimal.
