KATHMANDU, APRIL 1

Parsa police have arrested three Chinese nationals on allegations of engaging in fraudulent activities through online platforms, on Saturday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Liu Gui Cai (33) hailing from Hunan Province, and Wang Bohan (26) and Xiang Xiao (36) from Hubei Province, China.

Acting on tip-off indicating their involvement in duping both Nepali and foreign nationals through various online schemes such as lotteries and shopping scams, a team from the District Police Office, Parsa, conducted surveillance operations leading to their capture across different locations within the Parsa district.

Moreover, during a raid on the trio's rented residence in Birgunj Metropolitan City -15 yielded substantial evidence. Confiscated items include 120 CPUs, 118 monitors, 3 passports, 35 mobile phones, 13 Indian Geo SIM cards, 4 laptops, 1 printer, 3 bank ATM cards, 26 keyboards, 5 internet switches, 2 Wi-Fi routers, 2 mini inverters, 1 car, 1 motorcycle, 37 Malaysian ringgits, 43 thousand Nepali rupees, and 3,500 Cambodian currencies.

Meanwhile, further investigation into this case is ongoing, police added.
