CHITWAN: The Chitwan District Court convicted three youth of murder and slapped life imprisonment on them.

Milan Pun Magar (20) and Nime Pun Magar (17) from Dumkibas VDC of Nawalparasi and Sandish Rana Magar (17) from Bharatpur-3 of Chitwan were convicted by a single bench of judge Kavi Prasad Neupane on Thursday.

The Court observed that the trio had thrashed 18-year-old Manoj Khadka from Gadhimai-17 of Bara to death on November 25, 2015.

Khadka was attacked inside a bus at the Central Bus Terminal in Bharatpur with an iron rod. He had breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital.

The victim was a conductor of the passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 1410).

Police had concluded that the youth had killed the 18-year-old boy over personal disputes.

After a detailed probe, the trio were arrested on January 4.
