HETAUDA: Police in Makawanpur district have nabbed three persons involved in the trafficking of marijuana today morning.

Makawanpur District Police Office (DPO) organised a press meet and made public the arrestees — auto-rickshaw driver Jeevan Moktan (19) of Devkota area in Manahari Rural Municipality-8 in the district, Rajesh Patel (24) and Munna Ansari, both residents of Ranighat Birgunj Metropolis-10 in Parsa district.

The DPO said a team of police under the command of Inspector Pawan Kumar Jha confiscated the illegal drug hidden inside the passenger seat box and six packages containing the same on the roof of the three-wheeler vehicle (Na 1 Ha 9746) heading towards Hetauda from Manahari.

A total of 14.9 kilograms of marijuana was confiscated during the check conducted at Thanabharyang in Hetauda-11, police informed.
