Dhangadhi, March 8:

Three students were hurt when some students affiliated to ANNISU-R clashed with other students at Kailali Multiple Campus today.

ANNISU-R’s Amar Chand, Meghraj Joshi of the NSU (D) and a third student Jen Basnet are undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital. A clash ensued when ANNISU-R students tried to throw Basnet out of the college over a past dispute today. Chand was beaten up.

The students also locked up Ramesh Dhami of the YCL, a Maoist-affiliated organisation. The situation became further tense when students staged a rally against the Maoists. YCL members beat up students going to the hospital.

Later, the Maoists hustled out NSU (D) district leader Lekhnath Joshi from the emergency department and beat him. YCL in-charge Mukti regretted the incident.
