DHANUSHA: Three persons including a couple got electrocuted in Dhanusha district on Tuesday night.

According to the Area Police Office (APO), Dhalkebar, the deceased have been identified as Shiva Kumar Mahato (55), his wife, and a woman worker at a local hotel.

The incident occurred when they got an electric shock from a refrigerator kept at Purbeli Staffline Hotel in Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-7 of the district. Shiva Kumar was the owner of the hotel.

Mother of Shiva Kumar informed the police after she found them lifeless near the refrigerator in the hotel today morning.

A team of police from Dhalkebar-based APO and District Police Office, Dhanusha reached the incident site, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rameshwar Karki.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
