SOLUKHUMBU: Three persons died while another sustained injures after the truck they were travelling on fell below the road at Mahadev cliff at the border of Solu Dudhkunda Municipality and Necha Salyan Rural Municipality, on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Kamal Magar (33) of Dhading, Ram Kumar Magar (in his mid-30s) of Hetauda, and Krishna Chaudhary (19) of Saptari, while the injured has been identified as Ramesh Magar (27) of Hetauda, informed Police Inspector Anil Mabohang at District Police Office, Solukhumbu.

According to police, the incident occurred when the truck (Ba 4 Kha 7980) ferrying construction materials to Dudhkoshi Solukhola (86-MW) hydropower project fell some 300 metres below the road at around 11:30 pm yesterday.

Critically injured Ramesh has been sent to Faplu-based District Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
