Three Nepalis crushed by train in India
BIRATNAGAR: Three Nepalis were killed on Monday after being run over by a passenger train in bordering Indian town of Jogbani.
The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Sharma (25) of Kadmaha-8, Morang; Raju Rishidev (16) of Judighat-8 of Morang and Binod Yadav (26) of Sigyahimadan, Dhanusa, according to the Border Police Post in Jogbani.
The trios on a motorcycle (Ko 17 Pa 3693) were crushed by a running train while they were crossing the railway track at the intersection at around 8:00 pm that day, sub-inspector of police Firoj Chaudhary said.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their respective families after postmortem in a hospital in Arariya, India, police said.
