Three shopping malls coming up in Biratnagar

Biratnagar, February 19

As many as three shopping malls will be coming into operation within six months in Biratnagar.

The private sector has spent around Rs 3bn to bring into operation the Centurion Mall, Nepal Bazaar and Central Mall.

Entrepreneurs Moti Dugad said Centurion mall would come into operation within six months. “The mall will be the first shopping mall in the city that will have all the facilities of a decent mall,” said Dugad. He added preparations were under way to complete it in 6 months. “The modern mall stretches in one bigaha and eight kattha land is being constructed at a cost around Rs1.2bn,” he informed.

Similarly, Nepal Bazaar Mall is also being constructed at an estimated cost of one billion rupees. The mall will have separate supermarkets, restaurants, spa centre and recreation centre. Chairman Promad Jindal of Nepal Bazaar International Pvt Ltd said the modern mall would come into operation within six months.

Likewise, Mundada Group has spent Rs 80 crore for the construction of Central Mall with all kinds of facilities. Owner Prakash Mundada said the mall was being constructed on around 18 kattha land. He informed that the mall would have two cinema halls, department stores, restaurants and children’s park, among others facilities.
