Three TB patients die in Bara

KALAIYA, BARA: As many as three persons have died of tuberculosis in a period of eight months in Bara district, according to the data collected by Nepal Tuberculosis Nivaran Sanstha, Bara.

Of the total 637 people found suffering from the disease during a programme launched eight months ago with the theme of 'awareness orientation about tuberculosis among Dalit community', 296 patients have been found infected, said the data made available at a function in the district.

The TB patients can get free medicines from around 100 health facilities in the district including the District Hospital, said Ram Binaya Yadav of the District Public Health Office.

He also suggested launching awareness programmes extensively to eradicate the disease.
