Tibetans’ concern

KATHMANDU: The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile forwarded a letter to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on June 21, appealing the PM to treat the Tibetan refugees in Nepal in a democratic and safeguard their freedom of expression, a website www.phayul.com, reported. In the letter, Dolma Gyari, the deputy speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, has expressed concern about the detention of protesting Tibetans refugees.

Hira Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said he had not received any letter from the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.
