NAWALPARASI : Two women were injured after being a tiger attacked them in Danda Pipreni of Nawalparasi district on Monday.

The injured have been identified as Sumitra Giri (50) and her daughter Tuk Maya Giri (28) of Kawasoti-16 of the district.

The  duo were attacked by the wild cat while they were collecting fodder in a nearby forest today.

Other people who had also gone to collect fodder rescued them and rushed to Midpoint Community Memorial Hospital in Kawasoti for treatment.

Sumitra is said to be critical. She has been referred to a health institution in Bharatpur of neighbouring Chitwan district.
