Tight security for FSF-N programme

Rautahat, June 11

Despite protests from Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal organised a programme at Madhuwan Goth Rural Municipality in Sarlahi.

The Forum’s central leaders, including its Chair Upendra Yadav reached the programme venue. RJP-N cadres had greeted Yadav and other leaders with black flags and chopped down trees to disrupt the function.  The programme was conducted amid tight security.

RJP-N leaders and cadres shouted slogans against Upendra Yadav.

Addressing the programme, Yadav said his party was not against Madhesis. “We are preparing to participate in the polls to ensure the rights of Madhes,” Yadav said. He added that everyone had right to protest, but one should be careful not to deprive others of their rights.

He urged the RJP-N to participate in the polls and seize the opportunity to elect local representatives. He stressed the need to make the second phase of civic polls a success.
