KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11
Relief materials have been distributed to the families of flood victims in Lalitpur.
According to Gen Daman B Ghale, Chairperson of St John Association, Nepal, more than 83 families who were badly affected by the monsoon floods at Tikathali received relief materials. "Relief package primarily consists of a great amount of groceries and warm bedding items," Ghale, who is also the President-elect of Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers, said.
Amidst a programme on November 10, the team reached the doorsteps of the flood victims along with the officials of local government, Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers, St John Association, Nepal, Hope for Nepal, Aum Yogalaya and local volunteer organizations.
"Funded by St John Ambulance, Malaysia - the whole relief program was coordinated by Gen Ghale," a statement issued by St John Association, Nepal, read.
