Time extended to correct list
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission on Monday directed the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Centre and Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal to submit their corrected list of winners of the parliamentary proportional representation election by 5:00 pm, Wednesday.
A meeting of EC office bearers presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav decided to give two more days to submit the corrected list of winners of PR election. EC Spokesperson Navaraj Dhakal said that the list of winners submitted by the NC, CPN-MC and RJP-N did not follow reservation clusters.
An EC source said the CPN-MC recommended some other candidate violating the priority list of candidate of backward region.
Likewise, the RJP-N had violated overall priority list of candidates. Earlier, all five national political parties — NC, UML, CPN-MC, RJP-N and FSF-N had submitted the list of winning PR candidates.
