Phidim, April 25

Minister for Livestock Development Shanta Manabi said that the time for holding talks that bore no fruit had gone as she directed the agencies under her line ministry to focus on their work on Monday.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the District Livestock Office Panchthar in Phidim, Manabi asked all and sundry to zero in on the development of agriculture and livestock as they were directly linked to the people.

Minister Manabi asked the agencies under her ministry to come up with different plans and projects for the promotion and development of agriculture and livestock.

Minister Manabi stated that her ministry was according top priority to designing agro-related plans and taking suggestions from experts and stakeholders with the formation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

“The ministry is planning to make the country self-sufficient in eggs, milk and meat in the first, second and third year,” Manabi added.

She laid the foundation stone of the building of District Livestock Office in Phidim.
