Tipsy school teachers face action in Bajura

Bajura, March 30

Two teachers at a school in Bajura have faced action after they were reported to have come to work under the influence of alcohol.

Teachers Dharma BK and Arjun Bahadur Bam of Kanda Bhawani Secondary School based in Chhededaha Rural Municipality-1 had come to school under the influence of alcohol yesterday morning.

After the tipsy teachers disturbed the academic environment by making unnecessary noise and abusing students, the latter had padlocked the school demanding stern action to be taken against them immediately.

In the wake of the incident, the school management committee and local representatives held a meeting today and took a decision to block the teachers’ one month’s salary.

School Management Committee chairperson Birsingh Rawal also warned the teachers that they might lose their jobs in the future if the same incident takes place again. Thus, both the teachers must be prepared to accept the consequences that they will be in a temporary status.
