NAWALPARASI: The first general convention of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party would be held in Nawalparasi from June 20 to 22 this year.

Around 2,000 party delegates and observers from parties from 12 countries, and resident ambassadors of 16 countries will be taking part in the convention, according to TMDP district vice-chair Puran Chaudhary.

This is the first ever general convention of the party founded nine years ago.
