DANG: A biker died and a pillion rider sustained injuries after a tractor hit a motorbike they were riding on at Banskot in the district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Nar Bahadur Giri (37) of Saingha VDC-1 and of the district.

The accident took place when the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 1427) heading towards Rolpa from the district hit the bike (Ra 1 Pa 5298) this morning.

Injured pillion rider Khem Bahadur Bhandari (22) of Saingha VDC is being treated at the Ghorahi Hospital.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the incident. Police,however, said that they have managed to nab the helper of the tractor.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
