KATHMANDU: A man died on the spot after he fell from the tractor he was travelling on in Gujara Municipality-3 of Rautahat district on Monday night.

Police have identified the deceased as Jagat Chaudary (32) of Gujara Municipality-4 in the district.

According to police, Chaudhary was travelling on the tractor (Na 6 Ta 5842) when he fell off the tractor and was crushed to death under the tractor wheel in Pashupati Tole at 7:00 pm yesterday.

It has been learnt that Chaudhary was returning from a picnic at Kankalini Temple in Saptari district.

Meanwhile, police are searching for the tractor driver who fled the scene after the accident, informed Rautahat police.
