Transactions worth Rs 120m conducted in Palpa Festival

RAMPUR: The Palpa Festival and Trade Fair organised by Palpa Chambers of Commerce and Industry performed transactions worth around Rs 120 million.

The festival and trade fair — held at Tundikhel grounds in Tansen from February 15 to 25 — was visited by 300,000 people, informed the Fair financial management sub-committee coordinator Deepak Prasad Pandey.

The festival-cum-fair featured various local cuisines, children's park, life-size statue of historical figure Colonel Ujur Singh Thapa, an exhibition of photos depicting the famous religious and historical sites in the district, woodcraft, local cottage and small industry products, a demo on construction of earthquake-resistant house, agricultural and forest products, along with animals and birds like camel, turkey and ostrich, among others.
