Transferred govt teacher drawing salary from previous school
Siraha, July 3:
Although he had already been deputed to another school, a teacher Manoj Kumar Yadav has been found to have drawn salary from the Janata Primary School in Siraha for the past two years.
According to Rama Yadav, president of Janata Primary School Management Committee, Manoj was deputed to a Higher Secondary School in Saraswor for two years.
He said headmaster of Janata Primary School Dev Kumar Mahato was to be blamed for paying to Yadav who had already been transferred out.
The School Management Committee discovered that Manoj had been drawing salary only through the district education office.
Infuriated guardians of the school have demanded that the amount paid to Yadav be recovered from the headmaster’s salary.
Manoj claimed he attended the school and drew the salary as per the rules. Headmaster Mahato, however, said he managed salary for Manoj after his father Ram Adhin Yadav, headmaster of Siraha based Kanya High School, promised to provide a teacher’s quota from the DEO. However, Ram Adhin denied the allegation.
District education officer Gyani Yadav said he did not have any knowledge of the issue.
