Transportation service, which was obstructed after the road caved in nine days ago, has yet to come into operation in Tanahun.

The road caved in at Lasungauraha of Ghiring Rural Municipality due to heavy rainfall from October 6 onwards. Police said that work to resume the road was under way with the help of dozer ever since the road was obstructed. Locals were requested to use the alternative road as work to resume the obstructed road were under way.

Police said public and vehicle operators had used the alternative roads from Risingpatan of Bhimad Municipality.

Press Adviser at the rural municipality Anjan Pariyar said that dozer was used to open the obstructed road. The repair work of the road along the Deurali-Sunakot road section was in full swing.

The dozer was managed in collaboration of Ghiring, Bhimad and Rising Rural municipalities.

The rural municipalities urged the general people to use the road heading towards Sunakot from Belbhanjyang.

The locals in the districts and surroundings have faced the problem of food supply following the same. Food and other essential materials are supplied in Tanahun, Syangja, Nawalpur and Palpa through the road. The locals in the districts might face food crisis if transportation service remains obstructed for some more days.
