Transporters threaten to launch protest

Jhapa, April 13 :

Local transport entrepreneurs today warned of agitation if the Federal Limbuwan Council (FLC) didn’t mend its ways.

“FLC activists are forcing transport workers to paint Limbuwan State or Limbuwan Nepal on our vehicles. When the workers refuse to do so, they forcefully paint these slogans on our vehicles,” transport entrepreneurs said.

Chairman of the Mechi Bus Entrepreneurs’ Union, Shree Prasad Mainali said, “We informed the administration about the FLC’s activities. However, the administration did not manage any security.”

He added: “We alone reserve the right to paint something or not on vehicles belonging to our union members. If the FLC activists continue such acts we will strongly protest.”
