KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died after a truck hit him in Ratnanagar-7 of Chitwan district on Tuesday.

Police identified the deceased as Rameshwor Mukhiya (35) of Matihani-5, Parsa.

The truck (Na 5 Kha 7765) hit Mukhiya in Tandi of the area at around 5:45 am today, informed police.

Mukhiya, who was seriously injured in the incident, breathed his last on the way to a hospital.

Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
