KATHMANDU: A pillion rider died after a truck knocked down a motorcycle in a hit-and-run case in Kanchanrup of Saptari district on Friday evening.

Critically injured in the incident, local resident Anita Chaudhary (25) was rushed to the Rajbiraj-based Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital where she breathed her last.

The truck with registration number Na 5 Kha 8559 fled the scene.

Police said they searching for the hit-and-run driver and the killer truck.
