TU teachers under probe scanner

Kathmandu, November 24:

Democrat Professors’ Association-Nepal (DPA) today said it has started a probe in 60 constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University (TU) to see whether the professors and other members of the association were working for communists or for the university’s good.

DPA had announced protest against the political intervention and left-domination in the education sector on Saturday.

Dr Kul Prasad Koirala, president of DPA said, “We will see whether our members have been working in respect to TU’s norms and standard or they are flouting rules to please governing parties.”

He also noted that their evaluation would be completed in ten days. “We will demand their clean cheat. In case they fail to submit one, we will be compelled to announce severe protests,” Koirala said.
