Two abducted Indians rescued

Birgunj, August 2:

Police rescued two Indian nationals last night from Birgunj-18. The two had been abducted 11 days ago from Uttar Pradesh, India. The abductees — Chandreshwor Singh, of Devghat, Jharkhand, and field supervisor of Anup Marble Industry, and his driver, Kanaiha Kumar Chaudhary — were rescued from the house of Rajeshwor P Singh. The police held Sanjiv Mishra of Uttar Pradesh, Bidhya Chaudhary of Betiya, Patarawa, and Raja Singh alias Raj Kumar of Baisali, who were involved in the kidnapping, from Birgunj. According to SP Bir Bahadur Rana, the gang had abducted the duo on July 19, and demanded IRs 10 million in ransom from Chandreshwor’s family.
