LAMJUNG: Police on Monday arrested two persons on the charge of possessing illegal pharmaceutical drugs from Sundar Bazaar Municipality of Lamjung district.

The arrestees have been identified as Manoj Gurung (27) of High-School Chok in Besisahar Municipality-6 and Bikas Ghale (17) of Bhulbhule in Marshyangdi Rural Municipality in the district.

According to police, Gurung and Ghale were en route from Dumre to Beshisahar when they were arrested by a patrolling team of police from District Police Office, Lamjung. Police confiscated 700 Infadol capsules, a syringe, and Rs 11,330 from Gurung and a syringe from Ghale.

Likewise, police also raided Gurung's room in High-Shool Chok and seized 25 ampules of Nufin, 25 ampules of Phenergan, 25 ampules of Sipam, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yadav Dhakal.

Meanwhile, the arrested duo has been remanded into judicial custody after being presented at the District Court on the same day, police said.
