HETAUDA: Makawanpur Police have arrested two persons in possession of 54 kilograms of marijuana from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15 of Makawanpur district, Friday morning.

The arrested have been identified as Rohit Shrestha (28) of Simara-2 in Bara district and Sanjay Mahato (44) of Raxaul in India.

A team of police led by Police Inspector Arun Kumar Kuswaha intercepted a truck (Na 3 Kha 5340) en route to Pathlaiya from Hetauda wherein the two were travelling with the illegal drug.

According to chief at Makawanpur District Police Office, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Kumar Singh, the marijuana was found in 27 packets inside two sacks hidden in the vehicle.

The truck has been detained and the marijuana seized for further investigation, stated police.
