KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 22
Kapilvastu Police arrested two Indian nationals from Linget in Krishnanagar Municipality-2 with undeclared cash totaling INR 2.05 million, on Monday night.
The arrestees have been identified as Salman Qureshi (33) and Umesh Sakharam Khandagle (39), both residents of Raigad, Mumbai City, Maharashtra, India.
According to police, Salman was found carrying INR 800,000 while traveling in a vehicle with registration number UP 45 AS 6663, and Umesh was in possession of INR 1.25 million in a vehicle with registration number UP 42 DT 5721.
The arrests were made by a team of police deployed from the temporary police post in Linget, who intercepted the suspects as they were traveling from India to Nepal.
Police have launched an investigation into the case.
