Two cadres of Biplav-led CPN surrender

SARLAHI: Two cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) in Sarlahi district have surrendered to the District Administration Office (DAO).

The group's district in-charge Ruk Bahadur Karki, also known as Rupesh, 38, of Bardibas Municipality-2 in Mahottari district and district secretary Bhim Bahadur Ale, 46, of Kushmari Bailbas of Gaushala Municipality-8, Mahottari surrendered to Sarlahi DAO on Friday evening citing that they were not satisfied by the party's activities, confirmed Chief District Officer Mohan Bahadur GC.

They have pledged in writing that they have disengaged themselves from the group and all its activities and are ready to face action as per the existing laws if found involved in any act in violation of the constitution and the law, according to CDO GC.

The two were apprehended from Malangawa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi, on September 27. They decided to quit the group while in detention.
