Nepalgunj, September 4:

District Police Office Banke suspended two policemen following the fleeing of three detainees from police custody a week ago. DSP Govinda Pariyar said Dipak Bhandari and Balaram Neupane were suspended.

Three persons including former head constable Khusiram Tharu, who had played a lead role in a mutiny in Nepalgunj-based Riot Control Police Battalion, had absconded from the police custody.

Bheri Zonal Police Office formed a three-member probe panel to probe the incident.
