Dhading, May 12 :

Two members of a family died of an unidentified disease at Lamagaun of Bhumeshwor VDC in Dhading district this morning. Seven members of the same family have fallen critically ill.

The deceased have been identified as Top Bahadur Tamang and his nephew Kanchhi Maya(3), said a local Sujan Tamang, adding all other members of the family have fallen sick.

Nani Maya Tamang, 36, Ram Kumar Tamang, 16, and a five-year-old child are undergoing treatment at the Kathmandu-based Bir Hospital while two other children are being treated by the local health workers.

Dhading CDO Ram Sharan Chimoriya said: “A heath workers’ team from the District Public Health Office has been sent to the site.” A week ago, one Devaki Karki had succumbed to the same disease with symptoms like vomiting, foaming from mouth and falling unconscious.
