Two employees of Bishnupur Rural Municipality were caught-red handed with bribe money in Saptari today.

The nabbed staff are accountant Tek Narayan Yadav and computer operator Birendra Kumar Yadav. They were caught with bribes in both cash and cheque.

A team deployed from the Regional Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Itahari, arrested the two staff while they were receiving the bribe money at a tea shop at Gajendra Chowk, Rajbiraj, at 9:00am today, said CIAA Regional Office, Itahari, Spokesperson Niraj Kumar Dev. The CIAA team has recovered Rs two lakh in cash and a cheque for Rs three lakh of Muktinath Bikash Bank from the arrestees. Accountant Tek Narayan Yadav also serves as an accountant at Saptari District Court.

Acting on a tip-off that they had demanded bribe for the payment of installation of solar light from the concerned individuals, the anti-graft body nabbed Tek Narayan and Birendra Kumar. The anti-graft body has initiated an investigation into the incident.
