RAUTAHAT: Two girls drowned in a pond at Chandrapur Municipality-4 in Rautahat district on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Manisha Mahato (13) and Asha Baitha (12) of Chandrapur Municipality-4, according to the Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur.

The incident reportedly took place while they were swimming in the pond. The bodies were handed over to their relatives after postmortem.
