Two held on trafficking charge from Nepal-India border
KAWASOTI: Two persons were arrested while they were allegedly trafficking two teenage girls to India, from the Rupaidiha Nepal-India border.
The suspects are Numakanta Bhusal from Devchuli-13 of Nawalparasi and Shiva Bhusal of Banke.
Police said they were trafficking two girls, who hailed from Madhyabindu-7 of Nawalparasi district, via the border point in Banke district.
DSP Rajesh Thapa of the Nawalpur Area Police Office said the suspects would face a case under the Human Trafficking and Transport Act, 2007.
Meanwhile, the Nawalparasi District Court remanded them to custody for further investigation.
It has been learned that Bhusal is a bus driver working along Dang-Delhi route.
Police said the alleged victims have been handed over to the families.
