CHITWAN: Police arrested two drug traders in possession of huge cache of illegal drugs and money gained through drug dealing.

According to District Police Office, Keshav Ghale (25) and Bishal Ghale (24) of Bharatpur Metropolis were held with contraband and drug money.

Police recovered 271 ampoules each of Diazepam, Buprenorphine and Phenergan and Rs 580,180 from the accused’s possession.

The duo has confessed to the crime and said that they trafficked illegal drugs into Nepal through Sunauli border and the cash recovered from them was obtained through drug deals, informed police.

A case against the arrestees has been filed as per Narcotic Drugs Control Act, 2033. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
