Two held with leopard hide from Rukum West

MUSIKOT: Two people were arrested with a leopard hide from Musikot Municipality-7 in Rukum West.

The arrestees have been identified as Chhaya BK also known as Arjun (21) of Puthauttarganga Rural municipality-14 in Rukum East and Ganesh Nepali (19), of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-12 in Dang, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sumit Khadka informed during a press meet organised at District Police Office, Rukum West.

A special squad deployed from the District Police Office arrested the duo after finding a leopard skin hidden inside a white coloured plastic bag from their possession at Bairidaha. The duo were travelling along the Mid-Hill Highway when police finding their activities suspicious stopped them for a security checking.

According to DSP Khadka, the duo has been kept in police custody and will be handed to the District Forest Office, Rukum for further investigation.
