Two houses destroyed in Burtibang fire

BAGLUNG: Two houses were devastated when a fire broke out in Burtibang bazaar of west Baglung on Monday night.

The three-storied cemented houses belonging to Ganesh Budha and Ram Bahadur Gharti were completely destroyed in the fire, according to police.

According to Police Inspector Krishna Rana at the Burtibang based Area Police Office, the fire was brought under control with the help of the fire brigade team, police personnel, and local residents.

The fire did not cause more damage because it was controlled in time, said police.

The cause of the fire has not been identified yet; however, preliminary investigations show that an electric short circuit could have been the source of fire.

No human casualty was reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, details of property loss are awaited and further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
