KATHMANDU, JULY 26

Two health clinics operating without proper legal authorization have been forcefully shut down in Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City, Kailali district.

Following a special tip-off regarding the unauthorized operation of medical, pharmacy, and drug stores in the Dhangadi area, a team of police from the District Police Office, Kailali, in coordination with the District Public Health Office, Dhangadi, conducted inspections.

During the market monitoring, two clinics were found to be operating without the necessary legal permissions.

The illegal clinics, namely Arjun Clinic in Bhoradadi of Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City-3 and Abhinav Health Clinic in Devariya of Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City- 7 were discovered.

Subsequently, the investigating authorities promptly shutdown the illegal clinics and took their operators, Arjun Kunwar and Kamala Bohara, into custody.

The arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody by the District Court Kailali for further investigation under medical-related offenses, as per the provisions of the National Criminal Code, 2074.
