Two including Indian man held for drug peddling in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ: Police in Saptari district on Wednesday arrested two alleged drug peddlers including an Indian national.

A team deployed from the District Police Office arrested Mohammad Jabed Miya (18) from Yoginimai Municipality-8 of the district and Shiva Nandan Podar (28) from Bhagawanpur Gram Panchayat-10 of Supaul district, Bihar of India.

Police also seized 300 bottles of corex from their possession.

The duo were held from Hanumannagar of Saptari while they were allegedly trying smuggle the illegal drug to Nepal.

SP Dibesh Lohani of the DPO informed that an India-registered motorbike (BR 50 E 5838) was deployed for the smuggling.

Meanwhile, police got a remand from the District Court today itself for further investigation with the accused.
