KATHMANDU, MAY 12
Two people died on the spot and 22 others were injured in a bus accident at Durgaphant Kudule in Panini-8, Arghakhanchi.
The bus (Ga 1 Kha 504), which had brought pilgrims from Parbat for a visit to Supa Deurali, met with the accident while returning, according to Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Diwas Bahadur GC.
Rescue operations are ongoing, police said. Former chairperson of Panini Rural Municipality, Achyut Gautam, said locals and security personnel are jointly carrying out rescue efforts.
The injured are being transported to hospitals in Arghakhanchi and neighboring Palpa for treatment.
