Two killed after being swept away by river in Mahottari
GAUSHALA: Two persons, including a ten-year-old, died after being swept away by flash floods at different locations of Mahottari district on Saturday.
A flash flood in the Maraha River swept away Manav Bulan (10) of Bardibas–10 while trying to cross the River at 7 pm and Pabitra Mahara (50) of Pashupatinagar VDC–6 while crossing the Ratu River at 9 pm, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Janak Bhattarai of the Mahottari District Police Office (DPO).
The police recovered Bulan's body along the stretch of the Maraha River in Bardibas–12 while Mahara's body was recovered from Sitapur Bhangaha–3.
The bodies of the deceased will be sent to the Jaleshwor-based District Hospital for postmortem, police said.
