One security personnel also injured in clashes

ITAHARI, SEPTEMBER 8

At least two protesters were killed during Gen Z protest in Itahari, Sunsari, on Monday.

According to the reports, victims - both men aged around 25 and 30 - were rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.

Two more injured are undergoing treatment includinga securty personnel.

Following the escalation of the protest, authorities had imposed curfew in Itahari.

Earlier, similar curfew orders and violent clashes had been reported in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Bharatpur, and other parts of the country as the youth-led Gen Z movement continues to intensify nationwide.
