Dhading, August 3:

Two persons were killed when a motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident in Dhading district’s Benighat VDC-8 Nalinga this morning.

According to the Gajuri area police office, 33-year-old Keshav Pandey of Benighat VDC-8 and an unidentified woman were killed when the motorbike (Ba 3 Pa 898) met with the accident at 03:00 am.

However, the woman’s son, who was also pillion riding on the same motorcycle, survived the mishap. Police said the motorcycle may have been hit by a heavy vehicle. The boy said the woman who was killed was his mother, Shanta.

Locals staged a demonstration and briefly blocked traffic on the road to protest the accident.
