SALYAN: Two persons were killed in a tractor accident in Salyan last night.

The deceased have been identified as tractor driver Krishna Dangi (24), a local of Chisapani in Sharada Municipality-12 and Amar Budhathoki (13) of Chaibangjyula in Sharada Municipality-1, confirmed District Police Office, Salyan.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 1151), en route to Lanitbazaar from Shreenagar of Sharada Municipality-2, fell 30 metres below the road into Sharada river.

Both Dangi and Budhathoki had sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Salyan District Hospital. However, they breathed their last during the course of treatment, informed police.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
