JHAPA: Two persons were killed when a motorcycle they were riding on lost control and met with an accident in Duhagadhi-5 of Jhapa district along the East-West Highway, on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Manoj Meche (20) and Rupesh Meche (17) of Mechinagar Municipalit-7 in the district.

The duo were severely injured when the ill-fated motorcycle (Me 5 Pa 3095) heading towards east lost control and skidded off the road, police said.

The critically injured youths were rushed to the Birtamod-based B & C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre Pvt Ltd in the district, where they died during the course of treatment, informed Inspector Dundi Raj Giri at the Jhapa District Traffic Police Office.
