Two killed, six injured in separate road accidents

RAJBIRAJ: Two persons lost their lives while six others were inured in two road accidents that occurred in Saptari district in Province 2 on Monday.

A pedestrian was killed after a micro-bus (Ba 5 Kha 1451) en route to Kathmandu welted him at Krishna Sawaran Rural Municipality along the East-West Highway. The deceased has been identified as Andulal Chaudhary of the same rural municipality.

According to police, the over speeding micro-bus hit Chaudhary as its driver tried to overtake another moving automobile.

Likewise, a bus conductor died after the bus (Ba 4 Kha 4470) en route to Kathmandu from Barah Chhetra in Sunsari overturned at Dev Dhar Chok in Shambhunath Municipality.

45-year-old Dipak Rai of Kavre breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Sapta Rishi Hospital in Lahan, informed police.

Moreover, six others were injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at medical facilities based at Kalyanpur and Lahan.
